Summer Hair? Better care NOW......

Summer, Lake, Pool, or Barn hair? Summer Frizzies? Even COVID hair loss? Why not try something natural instead of those artificial ingredients in commercial products..

We all want to have great hair no matter the season and you can have it without all the chemicals. This is a guide to my hair products that I have developed. I hope it helps you figure out the best regimen for your hair.

Liquid Shampoo: Made with goat milk from my herd of healthy, happy goats. Goat milk has the same pH as our skin/scalp. This allows the scalp to absorb the nourishment from the goat milk as well as the other ingredients. Most commercially available shampoos contain Sulfates. Sulfates have a tendency to over dry your hair and scalp due to the extreme cleaning they do. Over drying leads to an excess of sebum production in the scalp which make hair feel dirty and oily, then you wash your hair and the circle continues; and your hair becomes drier and more unhealthy.

My shampoo does not contain Sulfates so it gently cleans your hair and scalp without over drying. (Yes, the shampoo lathers) Another ingredient found in my shampoo is Stinging Nettle. Stinging Nettle is a wild herb that people in Europe have used extensively to promote hair growth. The stinging nettle I use is wildcrafted from my pasture. Wildcrafted means that I(or my hubby) goes out into the pasture and collects the stinging nettle, it then gets steeped in clean water effectively making a tea out of it.

I only use pure essential oils in my hair formulations. These essential oils have proven to be beneficial for hair and scalp. Peppermint essential oil is in all of my liquid shampoos and shampoo bar. Peppermint essential oil helps to open the hair follicles so that the sebum, dirt, and ick can be easily removed. It also improves blood flow to the scalp. Depending on the formulation you will either have Lavender, Tea Tree, or a blend of Citrus essential oils.

Lavender Essential oil is considered in so many circles one of the best essential oils for skin/scalp and hair because it soothes irritated skin/scalp and helps with blood flow which strengthens hair follicles, is anti-bacterial and anti-fungal.

Tea Tree Essential Oil has proven to be effective in fighting many scalp issues including dandruff, eczema, and psoriasis. Tea Tree essential oil is anti-fungal, anti-bacterial, anti-microbial, and anti-inflammatory. Most clients have been able to use this once per week and have had great results between the Lavender Mint.

Citrus Blend Essential Oil includes oils of Orange, Tangerine, Lemon, Lime, and Grapefruit. Citrus essential oils are great at relieving your scalp and hair of excess oils and sebum. My suggestion is for people with extremely oily hair and scalp to use a full bottle of this Citrus Mint so your scalp can re-adjust and then move to using the Lavender Mint. (see chart below)

Reconstructing Conditioner: This conditioner is especially nourishing and moisturizing. It does not contain any goat milk but does have silk proteins to help with shine and detangling. A very small amount goes a long way. It absorbs into your hair when you apply so you think it isn't there but when you rinse you definitely know you used it. There are so many good things about this conditioner. If you feel like your hair is extra dry, put it on and leave on for a full deep conditioning treatment. The conditioner comes in the same scents as the shampoo to give you all the benefits of the essential oils.

Shampoo Bar: This goat milk based shampoo bar is perfect for travel or if you don't want bottles taking up space in your shower. This bar is awesome. I use it every week. Your hair is clean and soft. The bar also contains Murumuru Butter which helps with moisture retention by effectively sealing the hair shaft. This "sealing" helps to prevent environmental factors from further damaging hair. Marshmallow Root makes the hair soft, lustrous shine, thickens hair strands, gives natural body and bounce, enhances natural waves and curls, reduces split ends and hair damage. Walnut Oil helps with hair growth and helps prevent hair loss while making hair shiny and lustrous. Stinging Nettle is also included in this fabulous bar. Peppermint and Rose Geranium essential oils hydrate and soothe.

Pre-Shampoo Treatment: Organic Walnut oil is high in Omega 3 fatty acids helping with hair growth and retention, promotes shine, growth, nourishment, treats dandruff and other scalp issues. As the name eludes, you will do this about an hour before your shampoo routine. There are 2 formulations of this product.. Hair Growth has Rose Geranium and Peppermint essential oils and Scalp & Growth has Tea Tree essential oil to help with those pesky scalp issues.

If you are looking for just a little something extra for your hair that won't weigh your hair down, then try one of these products.

Herbal Hair Tea Rinse: This blend of herbs has been pre-measured for you. All you have to do is steep the bag in hot water and apply the water to your hair and scalp. Herbs contained in the bags: Eucalyptus: stimulates hair follicles, Spearmint: Known to help male pattern baldness, Rosemary: growth, dandruff & itchy scalp, Peppermint: growth, stimulates scalp, Juniper Berry: fights dandruff, healthy hair & scalp, Comfrey: soothes, softens.

ACV Hair Rinse: Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV) is infused with the herbal tea listed above. Ready to use on hair and scalp.

I hope you give these natural products a try. I am very pleased with how well they have helped people with thinning hair, trying to grow hair back after COVID, or just trying to be a little more health conscious with hair care. Please, if you need more information or have any other questions please feel free to contact me. I love to hear from people using my products.
